Circa is back in town, this time with Duck Pond, a splashing adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, considered the most romantic ballet of all time. Directed by visionary creator Yaron Lifschitz, this mind-blowing circus epic merges aerials, pirouettes, leaps and tumbles. Humorous and thrilling at times, this feathered production draws upon the world of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale The Ugly Duckling, with a spectacularly quacking cast, stunning costumes and sequined flippers, Duck Pond is an unmissable circus experience for the whole family.
Founded in 2004, Brisbane based Circa has toured more than 40 countries across continents, including an exciting Macao debut a few years ago, with the delightfully playful Carnival of the Animals. Consistently redrawing the boundaries of circus, the company is now returning for yet another dashing, hilarious show. Its cleverness and inventiveness promise, once again, to thrill our families till they drop.
