Hungarian choreographer Pál Frenák challenges
dancer Kristóf Várnagy with the role of Mennono, inviting the public into
a world of reflections clothed in blue. In a piece drawing heavily on Japanese
Butoh dance techniques, Várnagy creates tiny movements, combining mysterious
gestures and the sign language of the deaf mute. The body belongs to diverse
spaces as the blue fabric envelops it and pours forth from the stage to await
the emotional response of the audience.
Fiuk on the other hand, questions the
simultaneous existence of a rational and an instinctive creature within one
body, while searching for the shadowy hiding place of man in the modern world.

“Pál Frenák knows how to capture the attention of
his audience, creating a sometimes strange, emotional and captivating
environment - surrounded by magnificent dancers - in every sense of the word.”
