Idea, Direction, Video Art and Composition:
Klaus Obermaier
Choreography, Dance: Chris Haring
Dealing with the future possibility of removal of
all limitations upon the body, D.A.V.E. is personified by a performer
whose body is simultaneously the stage and the mediator of a utopia. This
potential is powerfully proclaimed, thanks to futuristic technologies and
implantation. In this performance Chris Haring makes a wide variety of new
experiences possible, like allowing a man to discover what it’s like to be a
woman, and vice versa. This ground-breaking work addresses the issue of
redefining humanity in the new millennium in a thought-provoking manner that
transcends culture and language.
An ingenious dance performance of the two artists
Obermaier and Haring over the topic of the manipulation of the human body in the
age of the biotechnological reproductibility.
