Described by The Strad as a “most gifted
young cellist”, Li Wei is one of the fastest-rising stars of the classical music
scene in recent years. Winner of the 2001 Naumburg Competition and silver
medallist at the 11th Moscow Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition, Li Wei
joins the Macao Orchestra to celebrate the 150th birthday of Edward
Elgar with some of the great English composer’s most prominent works.
