W. A. Mozart Overture to Opera Die Zauberflöte, K. 620
Requiem K. 626
Mozart’s Requiem was commissioned in the summer of
1791, but was left incomplete at the time of the composer’s death in December of
the same year. His student, Franz Süssmayer, finished the work based on the
sketches left by Mozart. In the two centuries since its completion, Mozart’s
Requiem has become one of the most recorded and performed choral works in
the world. This Easter, the Macao Orchestra, under the baton of renowned
conductor Michael Lloyd, will bring to Macao this solemn and uplifting
masterpiece.
