Eylon Nuphar and Boaz Berman, who founded Mayumana in 1996, first toyed with the idea for a number of years. Both percussionists, they aimed to create a show that would combine elements from most of the arts, based, of course, on rhythm, as it is an integral part of their day to day life.
The name “Mayumana” came for the Hebrew word for skill - meyumanut.
Mayumana presents a show a unique show, a perfect combination between music produced with quotidian elements, bursting rhythms, humour, dance, a total show for all audiences who really like humour and rhythm!
The group is formed by 22 people from Israel (10 artists and 12 technicians) and 3 from Portugal (1 technician and 2 producers) and has worked for a year and a half on the current show making over 1500 performances in the 5 continents!
