António Rosado |
António Rosado studied under Aldo Ciccolini at the Paris Conservatoire with scholarships from the French Government, the Gulbenkian Foundation and the Portuguese Ministry of Culture. After completing his studies, Ciccolini stated that “António Rosado has what can’t be learned: a feeling for the keyboard”.
He is a founding member of the Trio Artis, and has performed in various occasions with Maurice Gendron, Margarita Zimermann and Aldo Ciccolini. Rosado has played under the baton of conductors such as Pierre Dervaux, Silva Pereira, Franco Caracciolo, Michel Plasson, Léon Fleischer, Arthur Fagen, Claudio Scimone, Ivo Cruz, Álvaro Cassuto, Georg Alexander Albrecht, Moshe Atzmon and Ronald Zollman.
He has recorded with EMI-Classics and BMG/ BMG-Classics. In 1999 he performed at the Opening Concert of the Macao Cultural Centre with the Chinese Central Opera Symphony Orchestra under the baton of maestro Ivo Cruz.
António Saiote completed his musical studies in Paris with Guy Deplus and Jacques Lancelot, supported by a scholarship from the Gulbenkian Foundation. He was awarded the Meisterdiplom in Munich after studying under Gerd Starke. Saiote has appeared with various orchestras and chamber ensembles such as the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Artziz Quintet, the World Youth Orchestra, the Zurich Symphony Orchestra, and has directed masterclasses in Germany, Brazil, Poland and France.
António Saiote has presented world premieres of Portuguese and other composers, and his work has won the attention of outstanding musical figures of our time such as Luciano Berio, Luciano Pavarotti, Klaus Thunemann and Karl Leister.
