The diva of the Buena Vista Social ClubTM,
Omara Portuondo is one of the world’s great female singers. During a career
spanning several decades, she has demonstrated her ability to master a variety
of musical styles, transcending fashions to reaffirm her status as one of the
key figures in Cuban culture. This performance will feature material from
Omara’s eagerly awaited new album “Flor de Amor,” and her new impressive live
band.
“Her voice carries such emotional weight that any
language barriers seem almost irrelevant.”
