This new play in Macanese patois is set in the mid 1970’s, and revolves around a local nightclub called “Le Club Mermaid,” and dialogue is interspersed with the disco sounds that were popular at the time. Lia wants to liberate herself from her father, a difficult and stubborn man for whom she has sacrificed everything. So she decides to find him a wife. This is a far from easy task in the age of women's lib, when women are mistresses of their own destiny and happiness...
