Hungary possesses a millennia-old musical heritage, and yes, sometimes age does matter! Unlike groups from many other countries, Hungarian choral ensembles focus particularly on home-grown music, by such internationally-known composers as Zoltán Kodály and Béla Bartók, and the Ars Nova Vocal Ensemble is no exception. In this concert, they will enchant the public with a programme from their native land dating from the early 19th to the late 20th century, providing an interlude featuring modern settings of the Prayers of St. Francis of Assisi, written by non-Hungarian composers.
Duration: approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, including one interval
