Symphonic Epic“The Echoes of Hakkas Earth Buildings” |
On the occasion of the 9th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, outstanding female Chinese conductor Zheng Xiao-ying brings her symphonic poem Echoes of Hakka Clay Buildings to Macao audiences for the first time. Zheng has performed this poem more than forty times in America, Europe, Japan and China to great acclaim by audiences at home and abroad.
Whether it is the Echoes of Hakka Clay Buildings, an ingenious connection between aging clay architecture and modern symphonic music, or The Temple Fair in Lukang Town, which highlights cheerful scenes of daily life in Taiwan or the movies songs which are so popular all over China, Zheng's programmes vibrate with national spirit and the Chinese people's deep love for their homeland.
