The 2012 Macao Annual Visual Arts Exhibition, now in its 12th edition, has established itself as an important component of the Macao Arts Festival by promoting the Region’s solid cultural atmosphere and building a platform upon which artists can showcase their talent. It facilitates and encourages the discovery of new artists and the development of artistic education and creative standards. This year, the organisation has stepped up its efforts, soliciting the participation of an even greater number of artists, developing the exhibition’s overall artistic level and selecting works reflecting the unique characteristics of thelocal culture.
This year’s works, through their various means of expression and points of view, contribute each in their own significant way to the richness of Macao’s art scene.
