No doubt Beethoven’s impact on the course of Western music is hard to surpass. However, this giant of a composer had to begin somewhere – as difficult as it might be to imagine the wild-haired, tempestuous, and a bit unruly Beethoven as a bright-eyed pupil of the prodigious and youthful Mozart. Please join members of the Macao Orchestra in an evening that surveys the trajectory of chamber music writing, from the brilliance of Mozart to the dark, serioso masterpiece by Beethoven, and lastly into the lively musical world of Weber.
