Using nothing more than his hands and an array of expressive wooden eyes, Dutch puppeteer Leo Petersen (Lejo) takes the stage in Hands Up!, bringing to life a series of whimsical, funny and endearing characters ranging from animals to a children’s choir and a finger-eating monster.
Leo Petersen conceived his hands-and-eyes-only puppets for a study project in 1995, and they became an immediate success. Ever since, he’s been entertaining children and parents alike all around the globe, in theatres, at festivals and on television as a regular on the Dutch version of Sesame Street.
