The Cultural Affairs Bureau holds the Macao Annual Visual Arts Exhibition as part of the Macao Arts Festival, for the purpose of promoting local visual arts and encouraging homegrown talent to participate and exhibit their work. This event, praised by Macao artists, provides a highquality exhibition space for works in the many categories of visual arts.
Held under the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Category last year, this year’s exhibition is dedicated to Western Media including painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, installation and video, featuring 80 rigorously selected artworks by 59 local artists, which reflect the current state of development of the visual arts in Macao.
