In a city in rapid growth like Macao, where historic buildings inter twine with new high-rises, a pertinent question must be formulated: how do we retain the original landscape in our minds given the fast course of progress?
Following the enthusiastic reception of Memory – A Multimedia Concert in 2010, and of Memory Blueprint – Dance Theatre in 2011, the Soda-City Experimental Workshop Arts Association further explores the theme in Memory Blueprint II – a production centred on Macao's urban development and conservation.
The show's production team, comprised of both local and international talents, projects their concerns and high hopes for the future of Macao on stage through various dance forms, music and visual effects, reflecting upon the relationship between human beings and nature.
Since 2005, the Soda-city Experimental Workshop Arts Association has been producing performances exploring issues concerning Macao's urban development. An active participant in significant local artistic and cultural events, the Association presented the show Zheng's Walls Have Ears in the 23rd Macao Arts Festival and organized the Off | Site – Site-specific Performance Project, etc.
The much-anticipated Memory Blueprint II features a guest appearance by Portuguese virtuoso dancer Alexandra Battaglia, adding even more lustre to the show.
