Seeking to promote the culture of Chinese music through local education, the Macao Chinese Orchestra will continue to hold the ‘Musical Inheritance’ series of concerts in local campuses during the 2019-2020 concert season. To encourage local youths to be able to appreciate Chinese music and understand Chinese traditional culture, the Orchestra will launch new concert ‘Musical Magic Wand’ as well as their usual performances in primary and secondary schools across the city. Through this initiative, the Orchestra hopes to extend the students’ artistic and cultural life beyond campuses by exposing them to music activities and performances on and off campus, thus giving a sense of musical inheritance while enriching their artistic and cultural life.
