Kam Hiu Lam, a dancer born and raised in Macao, left home to follow her dancing dream, and it was also dancing that led her back home. She will showcase two dance pieces in collaboration with choreographers Chou Shu-Yi from Taiwan and Wang Yuanqing from Beijing respectively.
Can we truly find freedom in dance? Chou Shu-Yi’s new work Dancing in Court is a dance conversation between himself and Kam Hiu Lam, where they are united in the search to find rules and limitations between life and dance.
Our true feelings are forever inexpressible in words and speech alone, which is precisely the sentiment of Kam Hiu Lam and Wang Yuanqing’s collaboration The Name of this Piece Cannot Describe the Content of this Piece, a piece which can only be understood by watching in person.
