Type: Concert

The “Easter Concert” by the Macao Orchestra (OM, from the Portuguese acronym), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, originally scheduled to be held on 31 March and 1 April, at St. Dominic’s Church, was cancelled due to changes in the Orchestra’s season programme. The Macao Orchestra will present the concert “The Nordic Echoes” on 20 April, at 8pm, at St. Dominic’s Church. This concert, under the baton of its Music Director and Principal Conductor, Lu Jia, in collaboration with violinist Clara Jumi Kang, a virtuoso German-born South Korean musician, features two magnificent symphonic poems by Sibelius, Tapiola and the composer’s Violin Concerto in D minor, allowing the audience to fully experience the spectacular and distinctive Nordic spirit of the composer.

Admission to the concert “The Nordic Echoes” is free. Tickets will be distributed at St. Dominic’s Church one hour prior to the performance. Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to a maximum of two tickets per person.
