Cultural Affairs Bureau offers additional sessions of the “Heritage City Tours” to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” on the World Heritage List

03/07/2020

In order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the inscription of the “Historic Centre of Macao” on the World Heritage List, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym) will hold a series of exploration activities at the World Heritage sites. The registration for the most sought-after activities “World Heritage Open Day” and the “Heritage City Tours - Guided Tours and Illustration Workshop” quickly became full since the activities were launched. Considering the public’s overwhelming response, additional sessions will be offered for the activities “Heritage City Tours - Guided Tours and Illustration Workshop” and all are welcome to participate.

The “Heritage City Tours - Guided Tours and Illustration Workshop” feature various elaborated routes. The tours will be led by professional guides, who will take participants to explore different World Heritage buildings and tell the story of each building. The activity also features illustrators who will teach the technique of creating a travel diary, so that participants can capture the wonderful moments of their tours and record everything in their unique travel diaries. Registered participants are advised to arrive punctually. In order to give the public more opportunities to enjoy the beauty of the world heritage, IC now offers additional sessions of the activity “Heritage City Tours” from 4pm to 6pm on 19, 26 July and 1, 2 August, with a session on 19 July designed for families.

Online registration for the additional sessions will be available through www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event from 10am on 4 July to 11:59pm on 9 July. If the number of registrations exceeds the maximum number of participants, participants will be selected at random; if there are still vacancies available after the registration period, participants may register on-site. Distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis.

To safeguard the health of participants, IC will implement appropriate measures according to the anti-epidemic guidelines of the Health Bureau and all participants must follow IC’s anti-epidemic measures. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Chong through tel. no. 8590 4382 or Ms. Wong through tel. no. 8590 4329 during office hours.
