The results of the 40th Macao Youth Musicians Competition organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), have already been announced. Participants can check the results through the Macao Young Musicians Competition website at www.icm.gov.mo/CJMM.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, the format of the 40th Macao Youth Musicians Competition was changed to “Performances Recorded by Participants and Assessed Remotely by Judges”. With the cooperation of the participants, the competition was completed and was broadcast online on 29 and 30 October for participants in the same category to be able to watch it. The results are now available on the competition website and electronic score cards will be sent to the email addresses provided by the participants upon their registration from today to 19 November. Prize winners can collect the certificates and cash awards at the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building at Tap Siac Square in person by presenting their identify card between 9 and 11 December, from 12pm to 7pm (open during lunch hour). For those who are not able to collect them in person, please refer to point 9 of the Competition Rules and Regulations.
In addition, this edition of the Special Prize Competition will be postponed to 10 and 11 December, to be held at the University Hall of the University of Macau, adopting the format of “online assessment of recorded performances and announcement of competition results”. The organiser will arrange the audio and video recording in a unified way. In accordance with the latest anti-epidemic guidelines, participants and audiences are required to present designated proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative nucleic acid test result upon entering the venue; those who fail to provide the aforementioned documentation will not be allowed to enter the venue. For further details on the arrangements and regulations, please refer to the “Notes for Updates on the Competition Format and Anti-Epidemic Arrangements (Special Prize Competition)” published on the Competition’s website.
IC will closely monitor the development of the epidemic, follow the relevant guidelines issued by the health authorities and implement appropriate measures in a timely manner, and would like to express its thanks to the members of the public for their understanding and cooperation.
