The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is recruiting new chorists to join its Singing Club. Applications are now open to children and youth aged 8 to 16, eager to discover the joys of vocal performance and to enhance their artistic culture.

Following a period of absence due to pandemic constraints, CCM’s Singing Club is back to introduce tweens and teens to the world of music and provide a relaxing learning environment. Combining choral rehearsals and other performing art forms in weekly practices, the boys and girls are provided with numerous opportunities to sing in live concerts, attend community oriented and environmental events. Amid festivals and local celebrations, the Singing Club has been frequently involved in festive occasions, from the annual concert to the Christmas and New Year Lighting Ceremony. On the coming season, the Club’s clear voices will again have a chance to actively feel the city, taking part in a string of engaging activities, from community visits and Nature discovery to old town adventures.

Applications are open until December 09. Auditions are scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2020 and candidates will be individually notified. Member fees are set at MOP1,200 per semester. As the Cultural Bureau remains vigilant on the epidemic developments, participants are asked to follow relevant prevention measures. For further information on recruitment please visit www.ccm.gov.mo.
