Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “Língua Franca - 2nd Annual Arts Exhibition between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” is currently held at No. 55-57, Avenida do Coronel Mesquita (Green Townhouses) and the Former Municipal Cattle Stable. The outreach activities “InstaMeet” and “Pechakucha” will be held on 24 and 27 November. All interested parties are welcome to participate.

The activity “InstaMeet”, conducted in English and Portuguese, will be held on 24 November, at 6:30pm, at the Former Municipal Cattle Stable. InstaMeet is a way for people in the Instagram community to meet one another and take photos around their city together. Photographer António Falcão is invited to be the guide and walk with the participants in the neighbourhood surrounding the exhibition area. The activity “Pechakucha”, conducted in Chinese, Portuguese and English, will be held on 27 November at the Former Municipal Cattle Stable. Pechakucha was conceived in 2003 as an event for young designers to meet and show their works in public. Artists, photographers and directors are invited to give a sharing session.

Admission to the above mentioned activities is free. Seats are limited and distribution is on a first–come, first-served basis. Interested parties can register through the “Activities Registration System” at www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event. On-site registration is available on the day of activity, subject to availability. For more information about the activities, please contact IC through tel. no. 8988 4000, during office hours.

The exhibition “Língua Franca” is one of the series activities of the first edition of “Art Macao” and of the “2nd Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”, and is held until 8 December. The exhibitions venues are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 7pm, including on public holidays. Admission is free.
