The “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, integrated in the 5^th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), and co-organised by Galaxy Entertainment Group and SJM RESORTS, LIMITED, successfully presented screenings and various outreach activities. Themed “Dresses Galore in Films”, this edition of the Film Festival presented nearly 30 different types of film productions in Chinese and Portuguese, the unique charm of the cinematic world of China and the Portuguese-speaking countries showcasing to the public.

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), and co-organised by the Galaxy Entertainment Group and SJM RESORTS, LIMITED, the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, integrated in the 5^th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, is held from 10 to 24 November, featuring over 20 film productions in Chinese and Portuguese.

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival” will be held from 10 to 24 November. Themed “Dresses Galore in Films”, the Film Festival will screen over 20 Chinese and Portuguese film productions at Cinematheque・Passion. Ticket sales are now open, and outreach activities will be available for the public to join.

Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, with the support of the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Municipal Affairs Bureau, TDM - Teledifusão de Macau, S.A., the Macao Institute for Tourism+ Studies, and Air Macau Company Limited, the 5^th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries” is held from October to December this year. The event not only integrates the “2023 GEG Lusofonia Festival”, but also features 70 sessions of activities in seven series, including the “Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries”, the “China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival”, the “Camané and Macao Chinese Orchestra Concert”, the “Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair”, “Traditional Music and Dance Performance in the Community”, and wine tasting workshops, counting with the participation of nearly 600 artists and performers, making good use of revitalised historical districts, offering residents and tourists multicultural experiences.

Organized by The Cultural Affairs Bureau, Co-Organized by The Macau Government Tourism Office and the Municipals Affairs Bureau, and primarily supported by Galaxy Entertainment Group, the 2023 GEG Lusofonia Festival takes place from 27 to 29 October at the Taipa Houses. This year edition of the Festival emphasis will be placed on promoting Portuguese culture through Portuguese gastronomy and handicraft shows.
