The Cotton Kids

The Cotton Kids” is likely to be the only active surf rock band at the moment in the whole country rock band, and it probably a rock band in the Greater Bay Area which has the youngest yet competent band members. The band was formed in the Macau SAR in 2018 by young talented lead guitarist / vocalist Mina Pang and rhythm guitarist Uncle Ray (Mina’s dad), and was later joined by young bassist Twinkle and versatile power drummer Long Tall Jennifer, who has over 10 years of solid on stage drums playing experience. Other than playing instrumental surf rock music, the band also plays heavy metal, J-pop, TK Rock plus classic Rock “n” roll. The Cotton Kids was the 2nd runner-up of the Macau Youth Band Competition in 2020 and they also received the “Most Popular Band” award. Meanwhile, lead guitarist Mina Pang was also coined “Best Guitarist” for two consecutive years at the age of 10 and 11. Mina and her dad started making public appearances on stage and have been doing charity gigs as early as 2018. The band hopes that more people will be interested in surf music again in our country. These young music lovers also want to promote the rock band culture, hoping that young people will put down their phone and start picking up the guitar to enjoy music!

Chai Kefu

The foundation of Chai Kefu is a musical group that brings together musicians from Taiwan and Macau, based on a collection of writings that are coloured by Chinese literature and encapsulate eastern philosophy surrounding the realities of worldly human relationships.

The project was initiated in 2018 by the mastermind, vocalist and guitarist Tang Chi Fong, and in 2019, the group sang about their disdain for being bound by reality, their anger at injustice, and their decision to stay true to themselves with the song "The Wolf's Ambition", for which the group was honoured as one of KKBOX (Taiwan) future stars.

Chai Kefu is just like the 108 heroes who became bandits in Mount Liang in "Water Margin", or the Oath of the Peach Garden in The Romance of Three Kingdoms "To sleep in the same room, to be like brothers. We will work together to achieve great things". The spirit of the song is the same as that of "Brotherhood in the Peach Garden".

The music of Chai Kefu is based on analysing the confrontation between gain and loss, right and wrong, good and evil, and the illusion of eternity in the world, in order to find a balance and an exit that has no answer.

Iron Son

Iron Son is made up of Macao musicians Iron Ian (vocalist) and Jason Chang (music producer). Their music Youtube channel "IronSon" was founded in 2017, which is a pop music channel that focuses on cover songs, with mashups forming a unique new style, which is loved by listeners and favoured by Taiwanese media platforms. The channel now has over 70,000 subscribers and 10 million views. The channel has produced some of the best-loved tracks, the most popular being the mash-up " Cover Iron Ian x Eric Chao What’s Wrong", which has received over 2 million views on YouTube. In addition, the duo has collaborated with a variety of young artists and organisations in Macao, Hong Kong and Mainland China in recent years. These include Yang Chaoyue (member of Creation 101), who composed and wrote the lyrics for her solo debut single "Follow Me", which is also the theme song of the 2018 Kyoto Nin-Jiom commercial. The duo will release their debut Mandarin EP [I Was Here] in 2021.

Náv

Náv is a live music band based in Macao born in mid-2019 when the two founding members Dave Wan and Manuel Variz met and performed together in a local event named Connections – Community Gathering.
In 2020 Peter Kam joined the band as a didgeridoo player.

Since then, they have started creating meditational soundscapes using the Handpan, a new age organic instrument, combining percussive grooves with hypnotic melodies and the deepest massive bass by didgeridoo.

Náv led by 3 talented musicians who are dedicated to creating original music that is honest and heartfelt. Drawing inspiration from a variety of musical genres, including world music, rock, and folk, the band's original compositions
are a powerful and emotional expression of the human experience.

GIMME 5

Formed in 2021, GIMME 5 consists of Iron Ian on vocals, Tony Tang on guitar, Poker Ng on bass guitar, Ray Au on keyboards and Bosco Lam on drums, the "5" in GIMME 5 not only refers to the band's five members, but also hopes that our music is as funky and fusion as our name suggests. Like our name, we hope our music will give people a feeling of happiness, resonance and just play for fun. The band's music style is mainly funky and fusion. Blue Rhythm

Blue Rhythm consists of four Macao musicians: Gregory, the first Master of Jazz Trombone in Macao and one of the few wind players to use effects, Ao Fai on piano, Mars on bass and Roy on drums, all of whom are active performers in Macao and have a passion for rhythm. The band plays a variety of music styles: funk, neo-soul, ECM, blues and rock. They hope to bring the audience to their feet with their music.

Green Summer

Green Summer is a project characterised by a Pop/Rock sound with an electronic/New Age edge, without forgetting the band members' musical roots such as Jazz, Soul, Funk and Folk.

New songs specially composed for the hush! join other original songs and versions arranged by the musicians, in a relaxed repertoire suited to the festival atmosphere, with a special emphasis on acoustic sounds with reference to the famous MTV Unplugged. Lon Wong is a local musician with vast experience of public performances, having collaborated with Green Summer on different musical projects. For hush! 2023, Lon is the guest artist contributing to this concert with the rich timbre and harmony of his approach to the guitar.

ICHIKA NITO

Ichika Nito is a Japanese guitarist, musician and record producer with over 2.4 million subscribers on his Youtube channel, and many of his videos have been viewed over 10 million times. He was voted number 8 in the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time by the readers of the British guitar magazine Total Guitar. Ichika Nito started his musical journey with uploading music and covers. But after a while, he decided to switch to original short videos with interesting titles. After switching to this method, his YouTube channel quickly gained about 1 million followers. Ichika's guitar playing skills are so unique that is often referred to as "impossible to play", real diamond of music world. His combination of complex technique and recognisable signature sound has won him global attention. His unconventional, experimental style of original music has captivated fans and other musicians alike, making him a much-loved performer and a major influence on players around the world.

Deer Apocalypse

Deer Apocalypse means "Revelation" in Chinese, with deer as the band's signature image, and another English meaning is a letter written to a disaster. Deer and Dear have the same pronunciation, so the band's aim is to become a medium of dialogue with all disasters, and to create in a way that releases emotions. After the tragic death of the band's vocalist Ray, the band decided to restructure to continue the journey. Stephen joined the band and took over the lead vocal role, and the band changed from heavy metal to heavy rock to match Stephen's interpretation of the band's heavy style.

Funkroller is originally a funk roller coaster, but is not limited to funk, but also incorporates jazz, hiphop, soul, etc. Our latest collaboration is with rapper Jay Cuevas, who played a show in May to much acclaim.
 
Jay Cuevas is a local Filipino rapper who released his debut solo album The Self Evaluating in 2022. He has been active in various local livehouses and hip hop events, and has performed at Cubic, Lma, DD3, Sound Department(HK), Coloane Yacht Club and many more. Bedroom Pirate

The bedroom is the place where people rest, sleep and the most private space where we enjoy time just for ourselves, and pirate is generally considered to mean predator.Bedroom Pirate wants to use music to invade people's most intimate spaces, allowing them to experience music in their own private time. 

Formed in early 2023, Bedroom Pirate is a group of six music-loving youngsters, comprising of vocalist: Ian Sin Tong, violinist: Park Haeun, guitarist: Chio Song Meng, keyboardist: Cheong Sio Hong, bassist: Lei Hoi Teng and drummer: Che Meng Fai, is a band that combines various elements of J-Pop, J-Rock, and Jazz.

Kula Shaker

Kula Shaker is a British psychedelic rock band. Led by vocalist Crispian Mills, the band rose to prominence in the post-British pop era of the late 1990s, winning the “British Breakthrough Act” award at the BRIT Awards. The band has been a commercial success in the UK, reaching the Top 10 hits in the UK Singles Chart several times, including “Tattva”, “Hey Dude”, “Govinda”, “Hush” and “Sound of Drums”. The band's debut album, “K”, reached No.1 on the UK Albums Chart. It was voted number 879 in Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums 3rd Edition (2000). The band is known for its interest in traditional Indian music, culture and mysticism, and has written many of their best-known songs, including “Tattva” and “Govinda”, featuring lyrics written in Sanskrit. Many of Kula Shaker's songs feature traditional Indian instruments, such as the sitar, tambura and tabla, juxtaposed with guitar-heavy, Western rock instrumentation. Kula Shaker disbanded in September 1999 but reformed in 2004 and continued to reform in a slow and low-key manner until 2006, when the band became widely publicised. They released their third album Strangefolk and fourth album Pilgrims Progress in 2007 and 2010 respectively. The band returned in 2016 with a nearly sold-out European tour and new album K 2.0, which was well-received both by the media and the fans. After a long hiatus, they released their sixth album, “1st Congregational Church of Eternal Love and Free Hugs” in June 2022, followed by a multi-country European tour. Their seventh album “Natural Magick” will be released in January 2024, which heralds the return of keyboardist Jay Darlington as well as the reunion of all four members of the band’s classic line-up (Crispian Mills: guitar/vocals; Jay Darlington: Hammond organ/keys; Alonza Bevan: bass; Paul Winter-Hart: drums).

WhyOceans

WhyOceans was formed in 2005, based in Macau. The band strives to deliver both audio and visual pleasure to audiences. With chemical reactions by different musical interests, WhyOceans has been claimed to have created an unique style of their own. Their sounds compile with different elements from Post Rock/Soundtracks/Alternative.

The band performed in various music events in Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China. Such as the China tour, “MIDI Festival” and “Spring Scream Music Festival”. As of today, WhyOceans released three albums,《At Land》,《Inmost Dens Of Emilie》and《Deserted Symphony》. The albums were played on radio from Japan, Poland, Canada, etc. and reviewed by music platforms from Japan, Korea, Poland, France, Germany, etc. The graphic design of 《Inmost Dens Of Emilie》 was also awarded by TOPAWARDS ASIA from Japan and HKDA GLOBAL AWARDS from Hong Kong.

SOKONINARU

SokoNiNaru was formed in Osaka in 2011, and started out with just guitarist Suzuki Juko and bassist Fujiwara Misaki, but the band's live performances, with their dual vocals, have become comparable to those of a large ensemble, thanks to the band's amazing technique, which allows them to perform complex phrases in a continuous manner, as well as one of the band's specialities, a rapid tempo change, with ease. This is due to their amazing playing technique, which allows them to perform both complex phrases that go on and on, as well as one of the band's specialities, the rapid tempo changes, with ease. With the addition of Shodo Saito, who has been supporting the band on drums in recent years, the trio is one of the few musical units to achieve "100% synchronisation". The two were influenced by Ling Tosite Sigure during their secondary school years, and began to develop the idea of forming a band, just like the former covering JUDY AND MARY before they became famous. In addition to the similarity in their compositions, they also have similar tastes, and Sokonimaru's music has inherited the vein of Japanese rock from the 80s and 90s. You can find clips of them covering their predecessors, such as LUNA SEA and NUMBER GIRL, on YouTube. In fact, SokoNiNaru debuted in 2015, signed to the same indie label KOGA Records that produces NUMBER GIRL and KEYTALK. In just a few short years, SokoNiNaru has released 5 mini albums that have hit the ORICON charts, released videos with an average of hundreds of thousands of views, and toured Europe for an entire month, making them one of the most visible members of the Japanese rock scene.

Free Yoga Mats

Free Yoga Mats are a 5 piece Rock Band spawned out of the shadowy streets of Macau. They are a true clash of cultures, with members originating from Macau, Portugal, Singapore, and Australia, who are bonded together by their passion to create original music. Their music holds a mirror to the nature of city life, loud, dynamic, melodic and grounded in unity. Their sound combines all styles of rock music, from alternative, punk to hardcore.

A FYM concert is a high energy musical experience, vocally aggressive, chorused by heavy melodic guitars, driving bass lines and relentless percussive drumming. All members have played in other bands in past, and bring their own musical style to the mix, which makes Free Yoga Mats sound quite unique.

They have released their debut EP “Made In Macau” in late 2019. Recorded and mixed at Chicken Beef Recording Studios by the legendary Mr. Rice Leong and mastered by Steve Smart from Studio 301 Sydney Australia.

Free Yoga Mats dedicate their music to their family and close friends. Caged no more, FYM are looking forward to rocking the greater bay and beyond!

SULD

SULD is a band formed by five Mongolian musicians, combining folk, rock, metal and world music. The band's founder, Baisile, is from Hulunbuir and was a former musician of the Inner Mongolian National Symphony Orchestra. He won the International Khoomei (tuvan throat singing) gold prize in Tuva, Russia, and the first prize of First International Khoomei competition in China and the first prize of The Original-sound folk songs held by Chinese Culture department. He formed SULD in 2014 and has been composing, arranging, and writing lyrics for each of their albums with the band members. All band members have been listening to Mongolian folk music since they were young, and are connected to the sounds of nature. They use instruments, melodies, history, culture, the power of nature, and their common beliefs and ideals to recreate the loneliness of those who roam the industrial cities. 
Since the band's inception, it has performed over 200 shows, including festivals, concert tours, and music exchanges in more than 100 cities in Europe, America, and Asia. The band has published the albums "City Rider", "The Memory of Nomadism" and "Chinggis Khaan", and will release its first adaptation of "Hun Galuu" Mongolian folk song in 2022. In the first half of 2023, the sixth season of the national tour, the music of SULD has travelled to Anshan, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, Tianjin, Hohhot, Lanzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Wuhan, Nanchang, Nanjing, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Jiaxing, where the audience can encounter the green grass and blue skies that were once lost.

AVIBE

Macau hip-hop label AVIBE, in written form, means "A VIBE", which can be interpreted as a kind of atmosphere, or a top-notch vibe, a double entendre. he name is inspired by the harmony of the first two digits of Macau's area code, "85", which implies that the music created is accepted, loved and recognized by the local audience, and represents the local hip-hop sound, which is being shared around the world.

Since its establishment in 2020, the band has been involved in a number of events organized by different organizations and behind-the-scenes music production projects, as well as exchanges and collaborations across the music industry. With its rich stage experience and music production capability, it has become one of the most representative, prestigious and large-scale hip-hop labels in Hong Kong.

Patrick WH

Patrick WH is a local songwriter who has composed several popular songs for local singers, including the song "Sorrow of the Wind Tree", for which he composed, arranged and filmed the music video. With this song, the singer won the "VIP Hot Newcomer Bronze Award" at the "4th VIP Top of the Chart Awards" and was shortlisted for the "The 17^th Edition TDM Best of the Pop" and the "4th Macao Music Video Awards" in 2019.

In 2021, Patrick WH began releasing his solo electronic songs "Adjustment Period" and "Gravitron", and in 2022, he composed the electronic song "Parade", which expresses the characteristics of the AusLatin Parade. The song was recorded for the Mowave AusLatin Original Music Project and released as an album. He was also invited to perform at the album launch party, where he presented a series of electronic songs using an electronic music keyboard, a DJ booth and touch-sensitive effects.

INSPR’D

Dr. Joao Marcos Mascarenhas (keyboards) worked as composer/performer in Brazil, USA, Europe and Asia with jazz legends Randy Brecker, Hendrik Meurkens, and others.

Guitar virtuoso Ryan Carrol is also a singer and song writer. He performed around the world in casinos, hotels, concerts and session work in Asia.

Singer and songwriter, Betchy Barros, graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music in London. In Macau has performed in a variety of events including: art exhibitions, fashion shows and many more.

Drummer Luis Bento, toured around Europe with big names on the Portuguese music scene such as Carlos Benavente, Jorge Pardo, and more. Performs intensively in HK, mainland China, Thailand and Macau.

Special guest, Ivan Pineda, is a virtuoso bassist with over 15 years of extensive experience in many different musical scenarios. Has travelled around the world and has found his new home in Macau.

INSPR’D will perform soul, rock, pop, funk, jazz fusion, blues, West African, Brazilian, and other contemporary musicstyles. New original works on the way!

Whale Belly

Whale Belly was formerly known as Macao band Joking Case, but changed its name due to membership changes. The band's music style is mainly pop. The band consists of 5 young musicians who are active in the Macau indie scene. The band's compositions are inspired by the members' daily lives, and the band has always insisted that each member is responsible for the arrangement and lyrics of all the compositions. The five members of the band are Coco (vocals), Dash (guitar), Pong2 (bass), Rill (keyboards) and Ronald (drums).

Whale Belly takes its name from the lyrics of Radiohead's song Lift and the members hope that listeners will be able to listen to the band's work as if they were immersed in the belly of a whale in the deep sea, separated from the reality of life, and have a fulfilling spiritual experience.

Winifai

Indie singer-songwriter from Macao, lead singer of the band #FFFF99. Winifai started to participate in singing competitions when she was in university and has won many awards. In 2018, she was the guest performer of Taiwanese singer Rachel Liang's "Scenery from the Passenger's Seat" Asia tour in Macao, singing "Peaceful Breakup" with Rachel Liang, and she was one of the performers of "SOLER & Friends" in Macao and Guangzhou from 2022 to 2023. In terms of original songs, she has won the "Favourite Song Award" for four consecutive years from 2018 to 2022 with his original songs in "TDM Best of The Pop", as well as the "Best Lyrics Award" in 2019 and 2022. Her main performing style is pop but she is also influenced by R&B, soul and jazz. She has released singles such as "Irgachefe", "Hide And Seek", "Circles", etc..In July 2022, released "HEAL", an EDM album in collaboration with local music producer T.E.N.. The lead single "Free And Wild" was used in the Korean TV programme "SOMEBODY S2". The title track of the album "Free And Wild" has been used as a song in an episode of the Korean TV programme "SOMEBODY S2" and has accumulated 700,000 views on YouTube. Apart from solo performances, she is also the lead singer of the band "#FFFF99", in which she has participated in local music festivals such as "hush! Beach Concert", "Sim! Full Band" and "Infinite Love Marathon Concerts". She is currently active in various music performances and releases songs on her YouTube channel.

Macao A Cappella Association

The Macau A Cappella Association aims to promote a cappella music culture in Macau. It was formally created in July 2012. Its members are Macao residents, born and raised in Macao and aficionados of a cappella singing and music. During the 11 years since its foundation, the group has participated in several performances, including the "Happy Sing" evening concert, Parade through Macau, Latin City 2013, Macau Foundation Special Session - "With Accompaniment" (August 2014), "On the Road" (October 2015), a light a cappella musical "Our Times" (October 2017), an a cappella musical sharing session "Singing Together" (November 2019) and on 20 December 2019, the group was invited to sing with various a cappella groups at the "Variety Show to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Macao's Return to the Motherland", "Infinite Love Marathon Concerts” organized by the Macao Government Tourist Office (February 2022), the 10^th Anniversary of the "A Cappella Concert" (February 2022), the 10th Anniversary of the "Aca Story" Association A Cappella Concert (February 2022) and the 10th Anniversary of the creation of the "Aca Story" Association (March 2023), which is the first a cappella concert organized by the Macao Government Tourist Office in Hong Kong, among others. They have accumulated a number of a cappella adaptations of popular songs and published a book with five original compositions. They actively participate and co-operate with different artistic fields, contributing to the diversity of local music in Macao.

The Land Of Children

The band was formed in the summer of 2009, with vocalist Ken Wong, drummer Lo Kwong and guitarist CK Lei. The three of them met at the same school and formed the band because they wanted to participate in music competitions. After graduation, Ken Wong and CK Lei travelled to Taiwan for further studies, where they had the opportunity to participate in more band performances and competitions, absorbing different experiences and cultures, and began to write their own songs. In 2017, the band was joined by bassist Adriano Wong, whom they met at a music competition.

Due to the different musical influences of each member, the band's compositions are a combination of various styles, sometimes soft and inward-looking, sometimes upbeat, sometimes melancholic, with melody lines and lyrics that weave together the emotions and stories of life.

BBA Trio

Bego (guitar), Andy (bass) and Bruno (drums) are all junior high school students in Macau. Having met each other through their studies at the Macau Jazz Promotion Association, they formed the band at a similar age. Unlike a multi-member band, a trio is one of the most basic forms of performance, which requires close co-operation in addition to individual skills, and is known as an interactive form of performance. The trio grows through continuous practice and co-operation, in order to fully express the styles of jazz and Latin music.

Drum Kids

We are a group of elite drummers from 3 to 6 years old selected by Rockology Dynamic Music Productions, why do we love drumming? Sometimes it's because the kids are active, sometimes it's because the kids like the look of a musical artiste playing the drums. No matter what the reason is, we started our children's jazz drumming class and we are crazy about it.

With the encouragement and help of our teachers, we formed a band called Drum Kids. We faced a lot of difficulties when we first started learning, but every time we wanted to give up, there were teammates around us to support us, and we all learnt from each other, supported each other, and communicated with each other.

Since 2022, we've had a few performances that have grown on us and we were lucky enough to play the hush! KIDS festival in 2022.

We may only be about 5 years old on average, but we are brave drummers with a musical fire and no fear of being born!

Jazz Pink

Macao's youngest jazz band is composed of local primary school students with an average age of 9 years old: Bia on trumpet, Ariana on piano, Ciana on bass and Tina on drums/vocals. The band belongs to the Macao Youth Jazz Orchestra under the Macao Jazz Promotion Association, and is led by Mr Au Chun Fai. The band plays swing, basket tunes and Latin style jazz. These young girls have had a lot of experience since they formed the band in 2020: last year they performed at the HUSH! event, which was very well received. They have also performed at the Dom Pedro V Theatre and the Rui Cunha Foundation Gallery. This year, they are officially participating in HUSH!

Rock KidZ

A group of classmates who study music together in the Rock Center Macau. We formed a band with the encouragement and help of our teacher. Our band is called Rock Kids. When we first started learning musical instruments, we faced many difficulties and found that fighting alone was too depressing. I want to give up every time, and I don’t know where the end of the study is, but fortunately I met different music friends in the music center. Everyone learns, supports, and communicates with each other. In the process of learning music, we play music together, are more motivated and take the initiative to practice after going home from school. In this way, we formed a band and played our favorite songs together. We like nursery rhymes, pop songs, rock music, and a group of classmates who have just started on the road to music decided to join.

We hope to use this band with an average age of less than 10 years to tell everyone, don’t always think that you are too young or incapable on the music road. Mom and Dad said that as long as we try our best to do what we like, Never too young to play! On the road to BAND, as long as you want, please move! ROCK & ROLL!

Amazing Show

Amazing Show is an independent band from Chiayi, featuring a retro flavour of rock and folk music, with self-made instruments. The band has been active since May 2016. This cyber band combines low-tech handmade experimental instruments and rock configuration, fusing elements of rock, folk, vintage and experimental music into a magnificent performance. Refining the unique cultural landscape of the land, the band stimulates imagination and creativity from the collision of old and new generations, in search of a new generation aesthetic that belongs to the land. It is an all-encompassing ensemble that includes music, installation, design, video, and live performance.

Filipe & Friends

Vocalist Filipe Tou leads a group of musicians and friends, together with long-time bandmate singer-songwriter Bryan Chiu, to bring both hot and cool live music to hush fans this year! In addition to Nouis on bass, Alan on drums and Bo on keyboards, the band also features Japanese guitarist Aki and newcomer Tom on English guitar! Each member of the band has many years of experience in playing and performing, and they have a strong focus on the quality of the music and the atmosphere, as well as the interaction with the audience. Sleeping Forest

The band is dedicated to exploring different themes, with poetic lyrics and strong symbolism and abstraction. The band is dedicated to exploring different themes, with poetic lyrics, strong symbolism and abstraction as one of the band's characteristics.

The band was founded by vocalist JM, who is also the band's music producer. He writes lyrics, arranges and produces music under the signature name JM.Icarus. Having composed, arranged and produced for other artists, Sleeping Forest's songs are recorded, mixed and mastered by JM.Icarus.

In 2022, the single "Kaleidoscope" was released and its music video was released. It was selected as one of the 19th ATV's Favourite New Listeners and was the first to be released on all major streaming platforms.

In 2023, the band released their first album "Bury", which is a full-length album of 11 songs, including songs written by the band since their debut, as well as three purely musical tracks and one new song. The album is inspired by natural objects and phenomena such as floods and mirages, bringing out the emotions of loss and regret through metaphors, and is full of strong symbolism and abstraction, forming the unique aesthetic of Sleeping Forest. The album is divided into two chapters: the first half of the album is eschatological, accusing mankind of destroying the nature, and one day the nature will turn against us, and mankind will lose everything; the second half of the album is about feelings, loss but can't hold on to it, regret but can't let go of it, and can only be indulged in their own fantasies, struggling between fantasies and reality, and eventually can't tell the difference between the real and the illusory.

He is now working on his second album and has started the production, hoping to release it in 2024.

GAOFUNK

Singer-songwriter GAOFUNK is a participant of the second season of Sing My Song, lead vocalist & guitarist of G-ELEVEN, bassist of Candy Guns, arranger, producer, musician and radio DJ. Born in Beijing in the autumn of 1986, he learnt to draw as a child, and was exposed to European and American pop and rock music in his childhood. He started composing in 2005, and formed G-ELEVEN as lead vocalist & guitarist. In 2008, he started arranging and producing music. In 2010, during the first "New Energy Music Project", his original composition "Hello" was selected by producer Zhang Yadong for inclusion in the album, and he appeared in front of the public for the first time as a singer-songwriter. At the end of the same year, another song "Walk Slowly" was selected by producer Zeng Yu to be included in the compilation album "Tomorrow's Route II". 2012, he independently produced and released his debut album "GAOFUNK & G-ELEVEN". GAOFUNK has been involved in the production of music works that have been featured in films and TV productions and produced for many new generation pop musicians, and has served as a guest DJ on Music Radio's "Music Masters" and "Global Pop Music Gold List" programmes on the Central People's Broadcasting Station (CPRS) channel since 2012. His online channel "GAOFUNK VLOG" has been promoting instrumental performance for a long time, and his "Music Shop Around" series is very popular among guitar lovers. In the second half of 2023, GAOFUNK will tour 12 cities in China (Nanjing, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Harbin, Changchun, Shenyang, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Wuhan and Changsha).

thetiredeyes ft. JRD

thetiredeyes is a band formed by members of different backgrounds and styles. Based on traditional jazz music, thetiredeyes arrangement is deeply influenced by R&B, Neo soul, Hip hop, Pop and other styles. Audiences often rate their expectations of the band based on the band’s established category. However, a few words are not enough to describe the auditory feast that thetiredeyes aims to bring to the audience. They believe that it is impossible to see all of a band in one work or performance, so they will not set limits on their own style, hoping to present a diversified and surprising performance. Thetiredeyes will be joined by local rapper JRD to create a diverse and surprising show.

Ghostly Park

Ghostly Park formed by bass/ electronic music producers / Terence K aka Saiyan (DJ, producer, promotor, Macau/HK) and Alok Leung (Producer, musician, programming, HK) 

Combining their different styles, they come together to create unique sound of Ghostly Park with their musical roots embedded in drum & bass, jungle, footwork, dub, techno and more. 

Ghostly Park released his debut album "Identify" on on vinyl, CD and digital platform in 2019. And have their debut live set performance at Sonar HK 2019. The movements they made recently include a booking at the Hong Kong Mighty Clockenflap Festival and the well-known Macau International Music Festival in Autumn. In 2020, They have released called “ The Remix Project” with producers and musicians from different countries. 

Concrete/Lotus

Trip-hop duo Concrete/Lotus is a musical project that explores the complexity of freestyle and live music creation and performance, giving listeners a taste of material original and fresh.

Live looping, sequencing, vocals, synthesizers and instruments all play their part for the set of original music, deeply influenced by a mix of genres like Jazz and Blues and with a deep passion for old school Hip Hop.

Live and in the studio, Concrete/Lotus brings a melodic progression through acoustic and electronic elements, morphing and old school sound with new textures.

A band proudly made in Macau - the Lotus city of China - Concrete/Lotus is comprised of producer, singer, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Kelsey Wilhelm and singer Joana de Freitas.

They represent Macau in every aspect of their songs and the band name is ultimately inspired in the Lotus City of China. 

Benjamim Soares

Benjamim Soares has been writing and playing music since he was 13 years old. His songs reflect a mosaic of cultures and musical influences that have shaped his life and perspective. He’s an avid overthinker, but all that contemplation pays off in his heartfelt melodies and irresistible hooks that'll have you humming along for days.

With his music mostly in the genre of alternative pop & rock ballads, Benjamim’s songs take you on a wild ride through the ups and downs of the human experience, reminding you that life is equal parts beauty and pain, but always worth living to the fullest. For recent live performances he plays with some of Macao’s most talented musicians accompanying him on drums, bass, guitar, and keys.

Girls' Whisper

Lead singer Queena, inspired by music genres such as r&b, jazz, live music and a cappella, is active in various local and overseas music activities, including China Hefei Music Festival, Macau hush! Full Music 2016, Venetian Sim! Sound in Macau Festival 2020, Fundação Rui Cunha Saturday Jazz Night, etc.; lead singer's works “No More Innocence”, “Box”, “Aylan”, etc. have successively achieved great results. She also released her own album “Smiling on a cloudy day” in 2016.

Bobby Lio, joined the band “City Corner” (previously “Fall to Fly”) in 2008 as the female lead singer. After 2011, she formed the band “Bobby, Kay and Coolson” with Kay, Coolson and Elvian, and continued to be active in local music, performing at the Tap Siac Craft Market, hush! Full Music, and in Taiwan, Guangzhou, Anhui, and other large-scale music festivals. She released her solo album "26” in 2016. In recent years, she composed, sung and released many songs. Award-winning works include “The Past is Forgotten” or “Let’s Go Early Tonight”, and “Different Chase” with Winnie Lam.

In 2019, joined the “Dolce Voce Macau” as the female middle voice singing a cappella.

Winnie Lam participated in multiple singing competitions. In 2018, she was the guest performer at the Macau version of Taiwanese singers’ concert tour. In the same year, she was awarded the title of Best Lyrics in the “TDM Music Awards” with “Self-Healing Body”, and in 2019 she won the “Love Song Award” and the “Best Lyrics Award” with ‘Irgachefe”. Former member and lead singer of the band “ten.ice”, and now the lead singer of “#FFFF99 Champagne Yellow”, participated in “Macau hush! Full Music”, Venetian Sim! Sound in Macau Festival, “Sound inMaCloud” and other music festivals. The single “Hide and Seek” was released in 2020. Currently active in various streaming music stage performances.

KA HO OVERDRIVE FUSION GROUP

A local internet celebrity group Led by local guitar hero Cheong Ka Ho consists of neo-soul guitarist Chan Hon Chung, saxophonist Lam Chak Seng aka. Kenny L, drunken saint Anyu Cheung on piano, gigging bassist Pokka, and coffee freak drummer Roy. The band plays original neo-soul compositions inspired by Tiktok and Instagram. Ka Ho once said, "As long as there is a group of us, there will be neo-soul in Macao, and neo-soul will not die out".

Ocean Walker

The Macau Soul Music Association was established in early 2022. One of the founders is Mr. Addison Wong, an all-round musician who is also a composer, musician and conductor. The purpose is to promote Soul Music in Macau (a music genre that combines rhythm and blues and gospel music, jazz and other music styles), the music has a brisk rhythm, and its created through body movements and clapping, bringing a different musical experience to the audience. We hope that our music will bring more positive energy to the citizens of Macau during the epidemic period.

At the end of 2021, the Association participated in the Winter Wishes 2021 jazz workshop concert organized by the Macau Jazz Promotion Association in the form of the Ocean Walker Choir and strenghtened the founder's determination to promote soul music in Macau.

In April 2022, the Association held its first concert after its establishment, the Ocean Walker Soul Concert, which attracted nearly 200 spectators to enjoy the performance. It was well received and give more incentive to continue promoting such music and holding concerts in Macau.

Single Path

"Single Path" was formed at the beginning of 2014 with six experienced musicians. The band mainly writes songs in the pop rock style. The lyrics are mostly about everyday life and chasing dreams. The name "Single Path" means that they won't go backwards on the road of music. The band won the "2014 Melco Crown Entertainment Macau Youth Original Music Competition-Champion", "The 2016 SIM Macau Music Awards-Best Band/Group Top Five", "The 16^th TDM Music Awards 2017-Favourite Song Award". He has participated in more than 50 performances in Macau and Mainland China.

Macau Youth Jazz Orchestra

The Macau Youth Jazz Orchestra (MYJO) is an organisation under the auspices of the Macau Jazz Promotion Association (MJPA) and was established in 2020 with the aim of fostering the exposure of Macau's new generation to different styles of music and allowing them to enjoy the fun of playing music together. The band is in the form of a jazz Little Bigband, featuring instruments such as saxophone, trumpet, trombone and rhythm section. The band consists of primary to junior high school students and is trained by the conductor, Mr Gregory Wong. The band has performed on the HUSH! Kids stage many times, as well as at the Dom Pedro V Theatre and the Rui Cunha Foundation Gallery. The members of the band are Marcelo, Kai Lap and Chun Ho on trumpet, Chun Hei and KK on trombone, Kingsley on saxophone, Carol on vibraphone, Zi Ye on guitar, Andy on bass guitar and Chung Lam on drums.

Flow Squad

Formed in 2023, Flow Squad is a saxophone trio and jazz drums band with members from different schools. All members have at least 3 years of experience in learning instruments, because we love music, music brings us together, and the combination of trio and jazz drums is often seen in Europe and America, but it is the only one in Macau. The music performed by the band is mainly in the form of repertoire. As the saxophone is a mono-melodic instrument, it has a unique charm and sound, and through the trio's collaboration, beautiful harmonies and melodies are presented, while the presence of jazz drums allows us to have more possibilities. The jazz drums allow us to have more possibilities. The variations of jazz drums allow us to elevate our music. Our music genre includes traditional jazz music, classic film/cartoon theme music, game music and so on.

ACTPLUS

The children's musical "The Praises of Cat Warrior" was a big hit during the summer holidays! The hush! Kids stage will be reprising the honour - the children's version of "The Praises of Cat Warrior"!

On the hush! Kids stage, ACTPLUS members will present a modified version of "The Praises of Cat Warrior"! The young cast re-enacts the four little kitty-cat pals - Nameless, Little Ear, Clumsy and Doctor - in the play against Mrs. Wong! Unravelling the mystery of Mrs Wong's cat-hating ways!

LOOC

LOOC comes from the English word COOL, which means "hidden cool". Formed by two students from the same school, they not only share the same interest in sports, but also have their own music dreams, each other's music road meets in 2021, thankful to be able to absorb the experience on various stages, and even learn and create together during this period of time.

This year, they are going to show their passion for music with a new attempt to share their style of songs through sound waves by adding their own original elements in the form of chorus.

Lazy Jones

Lazy Jones is an all-female band made up of Macau primary to tertiary students: Diana on vocals, Gale on piano, Nana on guitar, Twinkle on bass and Emiley on drums, with a unique name derived from the jazz hit "Have Your met Miss Jones" and a laid-back style. The band's unique name comes from the jazz hit "Have Your met Miss Jones" and the members' laid-back style. They have been an active band in Macau since their formation, playing on the hush! Kids stage and at various events in Maca. With a wide repertoire of Portuguese, French and English singers, the band has a relaxed atmosphere.
