Hsieh I-Chun

Hsieh is a professor and string orchestra conductor at the Department of Music of the Taipei University of Education. After graduating from the Department of Music of the Taiwan Normal University, she furthered her studies in the United States on a full scholarship and obtained a Master of Music degree from the Carnegie Mellon University and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland.

Hsieh is active in performance, academic research and music education, and has served as a jury member for music competitions and tertiary institutions, and her students have won numerous awards at music competitions. Furthermore, she is actively engaged in charitable causes and giving back to society, and is currently the conductor of the Taiwan Music Connect Orchestra (the former EMBA String Club) of the College of Management, Taiwan University.
