Lin is a gaohu performer with the Taipei Chinese Orchestra (TCO) and an adjunct huqin lecturer at the Taiwan College of Performing Arts. He obtained a Master’s degree in Erhu from the Department of Chinese Music of Taiwan University of Arts. He was first mentored by Liao Min-Hui, and has also studied yangqin and piano. During his university years, he served as the concertmaster for the Tainan University of the Arts Chinese Orchestra, Dachung Chinese Orchestra, Hsinchu City Youth Chinese Orchestra, and the TCO Academy Orchestra.

Having shown his rich musicality since childhood, Lin is an outstanding young huqin performer of the time for his complete and fluent renditions full of virtuosity and emotion. He has held six recitals to date, and frequently performed with multiple Chinese orchestras in Taiwan, and has been to Japan, Turkey, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France for performances and exchange.
