Song Shanhu is a young yangqin performer, national first class performer, and a yangqin instructor at the Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Art. She is the vice president of the Yangqin Professional Committee of China Musical Instrument Association, executive director of Zhejiang Nationalities Orchestra Society, vice secretary-general of the Yangqin Professional Committee of Zhejiang Nationalities Orchestra Society, and vice president of the Musician Association of Xihu District, Hangzhou. She graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and has worked at the Zhejiang Song and Dance Theatre afterwards.

A winner of multiple music competitions, she has performed in dozens of countries around the world and held many yangqin recitals. Her students have garnered a number of awards in competitions at home and abroad and have been admitted to music conservatories and prestigious universities.
