Wang is the acting principal trombone of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Low Brass Committee of the China Musicians Association, and a director of the Guangzhou Wind Music Society.

He is an active soloist and chamber musician, and makes frequent appearances at various music events. As a musician of Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, he has performed with renowned orchestras and conductors from home and abroad, and was invited to perform as a guest musician with the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Macao Orchestra. He is committed to promoting music education among teenagers and often gives trombone masterclasses.
