Huang is the director and conductor of the Tainan City Traditional Orchestra and a holder of a Master’s degree from the Chinese Culture University. He is acclaimed as an outstanding conductor for his subtle and sensitive interpretation of music and the mastery of Chinese music characteristics and styles with his precise conducting techniques. Renowned American conductor Paul Vermel has described him as “a conductor with a profound musicality”.
Huang is often invited to conduct major orchestras, and currently serving as a director of the Chinese Music Association, Taiwan. He is also teaching at the Chinese Culture University and Taiwan College of Performing Arts. His albums Liu Tian Hua 120 Years Memorial Album and The Bells of Haiin Temple were nominated for the Best Traditional Album award and the Best Creation Award (Music Composition Category) at the Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music respectively.
