OuYang is a renowned Taiwanese violinist and conductor, and has performed with the Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble con brio Würzburg in Germany, Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and Taiwan Wind Ensemble, to name a few.
He is currently a professor at the Department of Music of Shih Chien University and the conductor of the university’s symphony orchestra. He has worked as the registrar, faculty dean, and head of the Department of Music, and was honoured with the Honorary Alumnus Award by the Taiwan University of Arts and the Outstanding Professor Award by Shih Chien University. He is also the chair of the Musical Instrument Bank in Taiwan, reviewer of the Review Panel of Academic Fields Accreditation at the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan, artistic director of Ensemble Grande, and leader of the Grande String Quartet.
