The 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition Concludes Successfully with Lam Cheok Seng and Wang Iat Ham winning the Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize

The Special Prizes Competition and awards ceremony of the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) was held at the Seac Pai Van Public School on 15 August. At the event, 20 Special Prizes in “Chinese Instrumental” and “Western Instrumental / Vocal” categories were presented by Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau , Cheong Lai San; Head of the Department of Performing Arts Development of the Cultural Affairs Bureau , Kuok Mio U; and the judges of the Special Prizes Competition, namely the conductors Dai Luqing, Gay En Hui, Huang Kuang-Yu, OuYang Hui-Kang, Lo Hau Man, and Francis Kan.

Announcement of the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition schedule

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition is dedicated to the categories of Chinese and Western instruments. The provisional Competition schedule will be available from 10am on 12 June on the Macao Young Musicians Competition website at www.icm.gov.mo/CJMM and on the competition system.

Extension of the registration period for the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition

Due to technical problems, the registration for the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), which deadline was at 4pm on 6 May, was extended to 8pm on 7 May. Applications for the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition open in late April

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), the 42nd Macao Young Musicians Competition, dedicated to Chinese and Western instruments category, will be held from late July to mid-August. Applications will open from 10am on 26 April to 4pm on 6 May. For the convenience of participants, online registration is on the Competition website, in which eligible Macao residents are welcome to register for Chinese or Western instruments categories or vocal categories by entering their username and password of the “Macao One Account”.
