The “37th Macao Young Musicians Competition”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, was successfully held from 19 July to 1 August. During this period, a total of 24 contests in 17 categories were held. The “Special Prizes Competition” was held on 4 August. Ho Chi Ieng won the “Cultural Affairs Bureau Prize” with her exquisite performance and the winners of the other special prizes were also announced. The Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chan Kai Chon, the Acting Head of Department of Performing Arts Development, Wong Wing Tai, Acting Head of Division of Performing Arts, U Weng Hong, as well as the jury, Gabriel Kwok, Jackson Leung and Yi Fan-Chiang were there to present awards.

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the 37^th Macao Young Musicians Competition, dedicated to the category of piano, will start on 19 July (Friday). The provisional Competition Schedule and the model of piano used for the Competition were published in the Macao Young Musicians Competition’s website (www.icm.gov.mo/cjmm).

The “37^th Macao Young Musicians Competition”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held between 13 July and 4 August in Macao. Applications are open from 4 to 10 March. The deadline for applications is 10 March, at 7pm. All interested parties may complete the online registration and submit the documents and registration fee in the designated period of time.

In order to actively promote the development of classical music in Macao, encourage young local musicians to explore their musical potential, and provide them valuable stage experience and learning opportunities, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) organises the 37^th Macao Young Musicians Competition between 13 July 2019 and 4 August 2019. Applications will be open from 4 to 10 March 2019. All interested eligible individuals are welcome to participate.
