GUIDELINES OF BUSKING PROGRAMME


Introduction

Busking Programme

The objectives of the programme are to promote public appreciation and participation in arts and cultural activities; to revitalise the community and create a cultural atmosphere by providing local arts and cultural workers a performing platform; to introduce domestic and overseas quality street performances to spur diversification of culture and arts thereby expediting construction of the World Centre for Tourism and Leisure.

- The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) reserves the right to temporarily close one or all Busking Points to give priority to special events, activities, requests by authorized departments, or to other construction works with the prior approval
- In consideration of vital public interests and security, the authorities may suspend the use of Busking Points

Busking Points

Anim’Arte Nam Van

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 11:00 - 21:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Small, portable, battery-powered speakers can be used

 

The Taipa Houses

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 20:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Small, portable, battery-powered speakers can be used

 

Mount Fortress Garden

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 18:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Small, portable, battery-powered speakers can be used

 

Barra Square

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 18:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Must perform within the designated area. A maximum of two groups can perform at the same time. Amplification devices are not allowed.

 

Ka Ho Village of Our Lady

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 18:00
Due to the environmental factors around the venue, only "Visual Arts" and "Creative Craft" artists are allowed to exhibit within the designated area and amplification devices are not permitted.
A maximum of three groups can exhibit at the same time.

 

The Iec Long Firecracker Factory site

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday to Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 18:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Small, portable, battery-powered speakers can be used
A maximum of one group can perform at the same time.

 

Lai Chi Vun Shipyards
Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 10:00 - 18:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Must perform within the designated area. A maximum of one group can perform at the same time. Amplification devices are not allowed.

 

Travessa do Aterro Novo Square (in the vicinity of Rua da Felicidade)-
Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, 13:00 - 20:00
A busking group shall not exceed 5 persons.
Must perform within the designated area. A maximum of two groups can perform at the same time. Amplification devices are not allowed.
