Macao Conservatory

1. The Macao Conservatory is responsible for:

1) Identifying and training local qualified staff in the field of the performing arts and related areas;

2) Providing general secondary education, technical and vocational upper secondary education in the fields of dance, music and theatre, as well as continuing artistic education;

3) Proposing plans and programmes, both global and partial, for the courses offered by the Conservatory;

4) Creating facilities and groups related to the performing arts;

5) Ensuring cooperation and exchanges with similar institutions outside of the MSAR;

6) Planning, encouraging and promoting cultural and artistic activities involving the participation of teachers and students.

2. The Macao Conservatory comprises the School of Music, the School of Dance and the School of Theatre.

3. The Macao Conservatory is headed by a Director and governed by internal regulations, approved by Order of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, to be published in the Official Gazette of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
