The second concert will take us back to Europe, on a journey comprising Gustav Mahler’s piano quartet, his only surviving chamber music piece, and the equally young and energetic first opus of Josef Suk. The recital’s grand finale will immerse us in Schubert’s sublime string quintet, composed in the final year of his life and revered as one of the most treasured classical works.
