In "Paradise Village" the Macanese once shared
the bond of a common culture, but years passed, and the winds of change brought
the seeds of new lives from afar. The village kept its neighbourhood charm but
lost the magic of its soulful encounters. Now, nearing the threshold of the
handover, an unexpected event calls upon the residents to defend their homes.
The mythical neighbourhood is built from the pen
strokes of Miguel de Senna Fernandes, who sets his plot in the turbulent
nineties. Souls will take flight, as the only theatre group performing in the
Macanese patois interprets this story of change in Macao.
