A modern, and completely innovative production of Delibes’ballet which premiered in May 2002.
Choreographed by Swedish dancer and choreographer Par Isberg on acommission for the National Ballet of China, sets by Anne-MarieAntilla and costumes by Bo-ruben Hedwall (includingflamingos, beetles and caterpillars), the light-hearted balletderived from Hoffmann’s tale and first staged in 1870, is sprinkled with fantasy and mysticism.
