Martin Mastik is known to have given the first world interpretation of the third concerto for guitar "Capriccio Diabolico" by Castenuovo-Tedesco. He studied with John Duarte, Anthony Rooley and Chris Wilson and took master classes with Julian Bream and Andres Segovia. He has played with such renowned musicians as Yuri Bashmet in Moscow, Frederica Von Stade in Barcelona and Nigel Kennedy and Cho-Liang in Washington. Martin Mastik presents an enticing programme that ranges from Spanish to Portuguese, German and South American Baroque music, and to Spanish Romantic guitar music.
