The “Journey into the World of Music” Concert Series has already been a tradition of the Macao Orchestra (and the former Macao Chamber Orchestra) for several years. Each year, students from secondary schools of Macao are invited to the Macao Cultural Centre to attend performances accompanied by a lively introduction to increase their appreciation of the music. The programme is very popular among local teachers and students, and so far over twenty thousand students have enjoyed these performances. In the Macao Orchestra 2003-2004 music season concert series, the Orchestra will present works by Bach, Beethoven, Berlioz, Strauss and Stravinsky.
