Cradle of the European Renaissance and birthplace to important composers such as Verdi, Rossini, and Puccini, Italy has long been home to some of the world most influential musical genres and innovations. It is impossible to speak of Baroque music, Classical opera, or Christian sacred music without mentioning a number of Italian composers, musicians and patrons whose contributions were formative to these genres.
The Orchestra Internazionale d'Italia, conducted by maestro Paolo Olmi, consists of many of the world best musicians. The Orchestra will present three pieces from the classical Italian tradition, as well as the "Jupiter" Symphony, the masterpiece of Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
