For more than thirty years, Franz Joseph Haydn lived and worked in Austria’s Esterházy Palace. The palace is now home to the Haydn Quartet, which was founded in order to continue Esterházy’s long musical tradition. The Quartet’s repertoire includes the works of Haydn and his contemporaries as well as contemporary Austrian music.
The Quartet’s performance in Macao this year will include works by Haydn, Beethoven, and Schubert, and will take place in the recently exquisitely restored church of St. Joseph’s Seminary.
