Founded in 1974, the Suk Chamber Orchestra was named after the influential Czech composer Joseph Suk (1874-1935). Today, specializing in Czech music, the Suk Chamber Orchestra has become one of the best-known classical music ensembles in the Czech Republic. Violinist Joseph Suk, grandson of the composer Joseph Suk and great-grandson of composer Antonin Dvořák, frequently appears as a soloist with the Orchestra.
In Macao, the Suk Chamber Orchestra will perform Dvoák’s Serenade in E Major, and Vivaldi’s most popular work, The Four Seasons. Violinist Yao Jue will join the orchestra as a soloist for this performance.
