The Yellow River Cantata |
Born in Macao in 1905, Xian Xinghai is one of the
most distinctive national icons in China’s music scene. He composed numerous
songs as well as large-scale choral works, including the “Country-Saving Song”,
“Defeating the Enemy” and “The Yellow River Cantata”. To commemorate the
hundredth anniversary of the birth of Xian Xinghai, the Macao Orchestra will
collaborate with musicians and choral ensembles from the Mainland, Macao, Hong
Kong and Taiwan. Join us in the celebration!
