Twin brothers, Long Guanghua and Long Jihua
are engaged to be married but face a big challenge when a family problem forces
them to leave their home and fiancées behind. When the couples meet again, a
terrible misunderstanding misplaces their affections, and the fiancées are
reunited with the wrong twins.
A sense of humour and liveliness enrich
this Cantonese Opera. The performance is by the Kaifong (…) Chinese Opera
Troupe, probably the largest amateur opera association in Macao. Drawing richly
on the imagination, the story mixes the gentle and poetic with stirring battle
scenes and comic relief, and appeals to a diverse audience.
