Brothers Slava and Leonard Grigoryan, born in Kazakhstan and raised in Australia, emerged in the past decade as two of the world’s most original classical guitarists. ARIA Award-winner Slava constantly seeks out projects which stretch the boundaries of acoustic guitar repertoire and delves into other genres of music from contemporary to jazz. Leonard has always dedicated himself to both classical and jazz music and is also an active arranger and composer.

As a duo, they have toured Russia, the Baltic States, Asia and the UK, giving a major recital at London's Wigmore Hall. Together, they possess effortless virtuosity and brilliant musicianship in standard repertoire for the classical guitar, crossover material and contemporary compositions – an eclectic blend of musical styles well-represented on this concert programme.

“Wizard of the guitar, Slava Grigoryan bewitched and beguiled the audience… Leonard Grigoryan has complete mastery of all facets of the guitar…”
