2021-22 Season Opening Concert "Splendid Landscapes" (Online Concert)
In this season opening concert conducted by outstanding Chinese conductor Hu Bingxu, the Macao Chinese Orchestra joins famous suona player Liu Wenwen and erhu artist Duan Aiai to unfold the "Splendid Landscapes". Duan will perform Erhu Concerto The Great Wall Capriccio and Liu, Suona Concerto Ode to Kylin.
Liu Wenwen, a post-90s young artist, is one of the most brilliant, youngest and internationally influential suona players. Her incredible interpretation of Ode to Kylin will immerse fans in an imagination of the auspicious creature through the bright, cheerful music of unadorned ancient charm. And Duan Aiai, national first-class instrumentalist and erhu soloist of Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, will give, with her superb skills an intense rendition of a highly imaginative piece, The Great Wall Capriccio. Excellent works to open the season!
